Overview of Tournament

The premise is simple: draft a group of 3-5 teams using your $50 buy-in, with better teams costing more than not-so-good teams, such that at the end of the regular season, your group of teams has more wins than every other players' teams. Yes, I said "teams" many times there, but it really is simple. Keep reading if you're still a little lost...

5 Tiers x 6 Teams Per Tier = All 30 NBA Teams

As mentioned above, each team is categorized based on their preseason power rankings into one of five tiers. Each tier has a cost associated with it - the more expensive the tier, the better the teams in that tier are projected to do. Here's the breakdown of the tiers' costs:

Tier 1: $15 per team
Tier 2: $12 per team
Tier 3: $9 per team
Tier 4: $6 per team
Tier 5: $3 per team

Using your buy-in ($50), you'll draft a combination of 3-5 teams that you think will output the most regular season wins (or at least more than the rest of the players' drafted teams). Visit "Tiers" to see which team is in which tier. Continue reading for the different ways you can draft teams...

For those more mathematically-inclined, such as myself, you may realize all of these would total up to $45. Yes, I will be pocketing $5 from each buy in as a commissioner's fee (running a website ain't as a cheap as I'd like).
